Sara Hacker

Sara Hacker is in her fifth year at ETSU and her first as the Director of Marketing and Corporate Development. Hacker started her career at ETSU in 2007 as the Marketing and Promotions Coordinator, which consisted of handling all the marketing and promotional projects at ETSU athletic events. Hacker also oversaw all the game entertainment and on-court promotions, as well as focused a great deal on advertising and promoting for Buccaneer Athletics. Starting in 2011-12, Hacker has taken on a new role, as she will be focusing her duties on generating revenue for the athletic department.  

A native of Florence, Ky., Hacker comes to Johnson City after working three years with Morehead State University in Eastern Kentucky (Ohio Valley Conference member). While at Morehead State, Hacker served as the Marketing and Special Events Assistant, which consisted of her working primarily with all game management duties within all sports. She also planned and organized on-court promotions and crowd involvement activities. During her time at MSU, Hacker also solely developed inaugural kids club, called Beaker's Buddies and produced all on-campus and off-campus advertising.

Throughout 2005-2007, Hacker was involved with Dugout Media, a full-service event marketing company specializing in the organization of marketing and promotion on the regional and national level. Hacker's focus was youth publication, Softball Youth Magazine. She also served as the primary contact on the Softball Youth Road Trip, traveling the east coast of the United States promoting Softball Youth and their primary sponsors: Louisville Slugger, The National Pro Fastpitch League, Disney, Airheads, and Backyard Sports.

In 2006, Hacker fulfilled her internship with the Florence Freedom, a member of the Frontier League. With the Freedom, Hacker assisted with all game management and promotional duties. Also, Hacker became the supervisor on the luxury box level and party decks at Champion Window Field. She also helped designed various team fan gear and team novelties.
