Chad Donley enters his first season at ETSU as a graduate assistant coach after having played for head coach Steve Forbes during his college playing days at Northwest Florida State. Under Forbes' tutelage, Donley started 33 of 34 games and helped his team go 32-2 record en route to a conference and state championship as well as being the national runner-up during the 2011-12 season.
Following the 2011-12 season, Donley transferred to Liberty University where he helped the Flames win the Big South Championship and a birth into the 2013 NCAA Tournament where they lost in opening round play-in game to North Carolina A&T, 73-72.
Upon graduating from Liberty in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with cognates in Business and Communications, Donley transferred to Morehead State University to begin a Master's Degree in Sports Management. In his lone season with the Eagles, Morehead State went 17-17 and lost to No. 25 Murray State in the OVC Semifinals.
As a prep at Baker School in Florida, Donley averaged 22 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 5.0 steals as a senior in 2009-10 ... Earned four all-area awards, including a pair of first-team honors. Donley also led the Gators to a pair of district titles.
