JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 22, 2010) - The ETSU baseball team is set to face Campbell in a three-game series this weekend at Taylor Field in Buies Creek, N.C. The first game is set for 6 p.m. on Friday with a doubleheader to be played Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Bucs (20-16, 9-6 A-Sun) have dropped their last three contests coming into the weekend. ETSU is 6-2 in weekend series this year including 2-0 on the road with series wins over Lipscomb and Jacksonville. Junior Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) has continued to put up gaudy numbers as he is hitting .455 with 18 doubles, 15 home runs, 54 RBI, 131 total bases slugging .903 with a .540 on base percentage.
ETSU is 6-6 all-time against the Camels after taking two of three from Campbell in 2009.
The Camels (19-19, 5-13 A-Sun) come into the series having lost three of their last five games including two of three the USC Upstate. Campbell is led by junior Ellis Lowe as he is hitting .393 with 19 doubles, three home runs and 33 RBI. As a team Campbell has swiped 100 bags in 38 games.
