Buccaneer Two-Way Player Ranked Ninth Best Senior in NCAA Baseball

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 10, 2014) – Baseball America and Perfect Game released its top-100 senior class list, and ETSU two-way standout Clinton Freeman (Jonesborough, Tenn.) was ranked No. 9 by both outlets.

Freeman has enjoyed a busy preseason as the Jonesborough, Tenn. native received All-America honors by Louisville Slugger (First Team) and from the National Baseball Writers Association (NBWA), while also being tabbed Atlantic Sun Pitcher of the Year by Collegiate Baseball. In addition, Freeman was also named to the A-Sun Preseason All-Conference Team as an outfielder.

Last season, Freeman earned CollegeBaseballInsider.com/Louisville Slugger All-America accolades, while also being tabbed second team All-Atlantic Sun as he led the Buccaneers in nearly every offensive category. In addition, Freeman was one of 25 players placed on the watch list for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award in 2013.

The Bucs open the 2014 season on Friday, Feb. 14, when ETSU hosts Longwood at 3:05 p.m. Overall, the Blue and Gold play 35 of their 56 games at home this season.
