Winston-Salem, N.C. - Cory Sullivan went 3-for-5 with two RBI and Jason Aquilante went 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead Wake Forest to a 13-5 win over East Tennessee State at Hooks Stadium on Tuesday.

Freshman Ben Clayton pitched 6 1/3 innings, giving up three tuns on two hits to pick up the win for Wake Forest and run his record to 5-2 on the season. Matt Baber (2-4) pitched three innings, giving up eight runs on seven hits to take the loss for the Bucs.

Wake Forest did most of its damage in the first three innings. Wake scored four runs in the first inning, one in the second and three in the third. They added three in the fifth, one in the seventh and one in the eighth.

ETSU scored three in the second and two in the eighth. In the second, Matt Nunley and Shannon Carter drew back-to-back two out walks. Chuck Dewald then homered over the leftfield fence just to the left of the 375 sign. The three-run shot by Dewald was his first of the season. In the eighth, Jeremy Terry singled and Danny Pugh doubled to give the Bucs runners at second and third. Terry and Pugh scored on a two-run double by Eddie Sparks to close out the scoring for ETSU.

With the loss, ETSU drops to 3-11 on the season. The Bucs open their home season on March 18 when they host the College of Charleston at Cardinal Park for a 1:00 doubleheader.
