JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Mar. 11, 2004) -
The Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network, in cooperation with WJCW-AM 910 and Stretch Internet, will broadcast select ETSU Baseball games this season. The first broadcast of the season will be Mar. 23 as the Bucs host in-state rival Tennessee.
The games will be broadcast on WJCW for fans in the Tri-Cities area and will be available on the East Tennessee State athletic website, www.ETSUBucs.com
Nine regular-season games will be broadcast, as well as any Southern Conference Tournament games. The network will air seven home games, a road game at Tennessee as well as the neutral-site Kingsport Classic against Virginia Tech from Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn.
"This is another initiative by our network to make ETSU athletics more accessible to our fans," said Michael White
, director of the Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network. "We want to make sure that ETSU parents and fans nationwide will be able to closely follow our teams and athletes."
In addition to the radio broadcasts this season, live stats will be available on www.ETSUBucs.com
