Five Bucs on Media All-Southern Conference Team

CHARLESTON. S.C. (May 28, 2005) - Seniors Caleb Moore (Knoxville, Tenn.), Nick Crowe (Johnson City, Tenn.) and juniors Chuck Hargis (Powell, Tenn.), Shane Byrne (Johnson City, Tenn.) and Blake Church (Roswell, Ga.) were named to the 2005 Southern Conference Sports Media Association All-Conference team from the conference tournament at Riley Park in Charleston, S.C.

            Earlier this week, all five players were also earned all-conference honors from the leagues coaches, in addition to junior pitcher Jeremy Hall (Gray, Tenn.).

            Moore earned first-team catcher honors for the second-straight season and was also named the second-team relief pitcher. Hargis and Byrne were also first-team selections and shortstop and outfield, respectively.

            Crowe was named as the second-team second baseman and Church earned second-team accolades as a designated hitter after tying for first team honors from the SoCon coaches.
