JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 5, 2005) - East Tennessee State travels to Charleston, S.C. this weekend to face The Citadel in a key Southern Conference weekend series from Riley Park. Friday and Saturday night's games will begin at while Sunday's first pitch is set for
The Bucs (26-14, 11-12 SoCon) have won seven out of their last 10 games after snapping a three-game losing streak Tuesday against UNC Asheville. ETSU is scheduled to start junior lefty Steven Calicutt (Spartanburg, S.C.) on Friday and junior righty Jeremy Hall (Gray, Tenn.) on Saturday. The Bucs are undecided on Sunday's starting pitcher. Calicutt is 4-5 with a 6.92 ERA while Hall is 9-2 with a 4.91 ERA.
The Citadel (16-29, 7-14 SoCon) is 2-10 in its last 12 games after dropping two out of three at Davidson last weekend and falling to Winthrop and Charleston Southern this week. The Bulldogs are scheduled to start junior lefty Ryan Owens (4-4, 5.04 ERA) on Friday and sophomore righty Justin Smith (2-1, 5.70 ERA) on Saurday. The Citadel is also undecided on Sunday's starter.
