JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Apr. 20, 2005) - East Tennessee State senior Caleb Moore (Knoxville, Tenn.) was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association "Stopper of the Year Award" midseason watch list, released by the association Wednesday in Dallas, Tex. Thirty-five players from across the country are on the list, given annually to the top relief pitcher in Division I collegiate baseball.

            It is the third such watch list Moore has been named to this season. He is also a candidate for the Brooks Wallace Award for the nation's top player, and the Johnny Bench Award for the nation's top catcher.

On the mound, Moore is 5-0 with a 1.90 ERA and eight saves. He has appeared in 16 games, allowing 14 hits in 23.2 innings of work while striking out 21 and walking seven. Moore has also been dominant at the plate, hitting .363 with 34 runs scored, 13 doubles, 11 homers and 52 RBIs.
