JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 9, 2006) - Buccaneer head baseball coach Tony Skole announced Tuesday afternoon that senior ace Jeremy Hall (Gray, Tenn.) has been lost indefinitely due to an eye injury sustained in a household accident.

"This is a terrible blow at the end of our team's season," said Skole.  "Jeremy has been such a huge part of our program's success the last four years, and we clearly regret that this has happened.  Beyond the impact this has on our team, we are obviously most concerned for Jeremy's well-being.  Fortunately, we expect him to make a full recovery, and hope to see him pitching in an ETSU uniform again soon."

Hall is 5-1 in his senior campaign with a 5.48 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 90.1 innings pitched.  For his career, the right-hander ranks second all-time at ETSU in wins (24), games started (57), innings pitched (354.0) and strikeouts (261).

"We feel terribly for Jeremy," said ETSU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dave Mullins.  "Jeremy has had four great seasons, and our thoughts and prayers are with him for a speedy and full recovery, so that he may continue his tremendous career."

The Bucs (26-21, 12-12 A-Sun) are back in action Wednesday evening with a non-conference match-up against Tennessee Tech.  First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. eastern time from Cookeville, Tenn.
