JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 4, 2008) - First baseman Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) was selected to the "Louisville Slugger" Freshman All-American Team announced Collegiate Baseball News Wednesday afternoon.

The Johnson City native is the first freshman ETSU baseball player to receive national recognition in the schools history. Hoilman was also named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team last month.

"This is another great honor for Paul and our baseball program," said head coach Tony Skole. "This is a first for ETSU baseball.  There is no doubt he was one of the top freshman in the country this past season.  Paul is our hardest worker and best student and deserves all these accolades.  Buccaneer fans are going to enjoy watching him play in the years to come."

Hoilman had an outstanding freshman campaign finishing tenth in the conference in batting average (.353), fifth in the conference in doubles (18), tied for eighth in home runs (9), ninth in RBI, ninth in slugging (.598), ninth in total bases (110) and seventh in on base percentage (.442).
