ETSU baseball set to host Gardner-Webb

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 10, 2008) - The ETSU baseball team is set to host conference opponent Gardner-Webb this weekend at Cardinal Park. Game one is set for 7 p.m. Friday night with a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m.

 

The Bucs (8-24, 6-12) are coming off of a big win over in-state rival Tennessee as they defeated the Vols, 10-9, at Cardinal Park. Head coach Tony Skole is looking to record win number 300 with a win this weekend over the Bulldogs. The Bucs are 5-3 all-time against Gardner-Webb.

 

Gardner Webb (15-16, 7-11) comes into the series having defeated Appalachian State Wednesday night 10-3 after falling to Furman on Tuesday, 12-10.

 

The games will be broadcast live as Jay Sandos the "Voice of the Bucs", will be calling all the action live on the website. Fans at the ballpark can also hear the game on Stadiumcast which is 88.7 FM.
