Bucs fall to Radford, 11-4
Garrett May Wednesday, April 08, 2009 RADFORD, Radford starter Paul DeVito (4-1) held the Bucs to one run on four hits in 6.1 innings of work with two walks and struck out five. Ben Andrews ( The Bucs fall to 14-15 on the season with the loss and are 6-9 in league play, while the Highlanders improve to 14-11 on the year. Right fielder Reggie Keen put the Highlanders in front 1-0 in the bottom of the first as he singled in a run. Radford added five more runs in the inning on a two-run home run to right by first baseman Alex Gregory, a two-run single by catcher Carl Travers and a Garrett May (Roswell, Ga.) error to make the score 6-0. The Highlanders added another run in the bottom of the second on a Matt Hillsinger RBI single to take a 7-0 lead. Third baseman Bo Reeder ( Radford scored four insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth on a three run-triple by Travers and a RBI single by Tyren Rivers to increase its lead to 11-1. ETSU picked up a run in the top of the seventh on a Paul Hoilman ( The Bucs added two more runs in the top of the ninth as Hoilman doubled in Reeder and Ben Allen ( The Bucs were led offensively by Hoilman as he was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on the day.
