In game one, Bo Reeder (Cookeville, Tenn.) put the Bucs (5-4, 1-2 A-Sun) up 2-0 in the bottom of the first as he crushed a two-run home run over the fence in right.

The Owls answered with eight runs on four hits and three ETSU errors in the top of the second to take an 8-2 lead.

Kennesaw State added four more runs in the top of the fifth on an RBI double by Andrew Martin, a two-run double by Jordan Craft and an RBI single by Ric Bishop to make the score 12-2 Owls.

Cory Betterson (Atlanta, Ga.) cut into the Kennesaw State lead in the bottom of the second as he singled to right to score Petro to make the score 4-1.

The Bucs kept things going in the bottom of the fourth as Ben Allen (Kingsport, Tenn.) drove in Derek Trent (Kingsport, Tenn.) on a sac fly to center to cut the Owl lead to 4-2. Jacob Fabry (Chattanooga, Tenn.) tied the game at 4-all when he tripled to right center scoring Troy Mendez (Roswell, Ga.) and Petro. ETSU then took a 5-4 lead as Fabry came in to score on a wild pitch.

ETSU increased the lead in the bottom of the sixth as Fabry doubled to right center scoring Betterson to make the score 6-4 Bucs. Fabry came in to score on a wild pitch later in the inning to give ETSU a 7-4 lead.

Kennesaw State then tied the game at 7-all in the top of the seventh on a Martin solo home run down the left field line, and a Stubblefield two-run home run to right center.

The Owls took the lead in the top of the ninth on a Jace Whitmer RBI single to make the score 8-7.
