JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 26, 2010) - After leading the Buccaneers to a series win over Campbell this past weekend, junior Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week announced the conference office on Monday.
Hoilman continued to swing a hot bat for the Bucs (22-17, 11-7 A-Sun) hitting .538 on the week (7-13) with three home runs and six RBI. In the Campbell series, Hoilman sparked the ETSU offense in the first game of the doubleheader crushing a solo home run over the fence in right center. Hoilman, a junior first base man, then scored the winning run as the Bucs rallied in the eighth. In the second game of the doubleheader sweep, Hoilman again came across to score the winning run after going 3-for-4 in the game. Hoilman drew four walks against Campbell and scored four runs and had an on base percentage of .571.
The Johnson City, Tenn. native now leads the conference in average (.452), slugging (.890), on base percentage (.542) and runs scored (55), and ranks among the top 10 in the league in hits (73), doubles (18), home runs (16), RBI (56), total bases (138) and walks (31).
