JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 14, 2010) - ETSU head baseball coach Tony Skole announced the signing of Dylan Pratt (Gray, Tenn.) to the 2010-11 Buccaneer class on Monday.

Pratt joins right-handed pitcher John Long (Anderson, S.C.), left-handed pitcher Justin Willis (Knoxville, Tenn.), catcher Steven Monger (Oak Ridge, Tenn.), left-handed pitcher Clinton Freeman (Johnson City, Tenn.) and right-handed pitcher Bret Gallihugh (Sevierville, Tenn.) on the 2010-11 signing class.

"Dylan is going to be a great addition to our program next season," Skole said. "We are excited Dylan has decided to come here and to continue his education and baseball career. This season he was regarded as one of the top junior college hitters in the country. Dylan can flat out hit, and will make the middle of our lineup very dangerous. Dylan is a great student and will be a great addition to our campus."

Pratt, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound outfielder, comes from Walters State Community College where he led the Senators to a 20-2 record in his sophomore season hitting a blistering .433 with 20 doubles, 13 home runs, 65 RBI and scored 60 runs. As a freshman, Pratt hit .374 with 14 doubles, 23 home runs, 67 RBI earning him All-TJCCAA and First-Team All-TBR honors.

While at Daniel Boone High School, Pratt was named first-team TBCA All-State his junior and senior years, Big 9 Conference Player of the Year, and Northeast Tennessee Player of the Year by the Bristol Herald Courier. Pratt also holds the Daniel Boone High School record for homeruns, RBIs, batting average, walk and slugging percentage for both single-season and career.
