JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 10, 2010) - The ETSU baseball team will look to get things going again as they host UNC Asheville Tuesday at 4 p.m. in a mid-week doubleheader at Cardinal Park. The two teams will play a nine inning game to be followed by a seven inning contest.
The Bucs (27-21, 14-10 A-Sun) saw their five-game win streak snapped this past weekend as they were swept by Florida Gulf Coast. Junior Paul Hoilman (Johnson City, Tenn.) leads the team hitting .448 with 19 home runs and 68 RBI.
ETSU is 22-19 all-time against the Bulldogs having won the last three meetings. Under head coach Tony Skole the Bucs are 9-9 against UNC Asheville.
The Bulldogs (12-29, 5-16 Big South) have lost 11 of their last 12 games including three to Coastal Carolina over the weekend. Justin Schumer leads UNCA with a team-best .363 average with six home runs and 29 RBI.
