DELAND, Fla. (March 24, 2011)
- The ETSU baseball team will look to improve upon its 6-0 road record as the Bucs head to DeLand, Fla. for a three-game conference series with No. 28 Stetson starting Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Melching Field.

The 6-0 road start is the best start in program history since 1981. The Bucs and Hatters are slated to play game two on Saturday at 2 p.m., while the series finale is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.

ETSU (13-5, 5-2 A-Sun) comes into the weekend having split a mid-week doubleheader with Radford. Junior John Long (Anderson, S.C.) leads the Buccaneers with a .423 average, while Dylan Pratt (Johnson City, Tenn.) ranks third in the Atlantic Sun in RBI with 29.

Stetson leads the all-time series 10-7, but the Bucs have won their last four contests against the Hatters as ETSU swept Stetson a year ago at Cardinal Park.

The Hatters (18-4, 5-1 A-Sun) come into the series having won six straight including a 6-4 extra innings win over No. 8 Florida State on Wednesday. Stetson's pitching staff leads the conference with a 3.06 ERA limiting opponents to a .259 batting average. Robert Crews tops the squad with a .397 average, while Nick Rickles has a team-best 22 RBI.
