JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 18, 2011)
- The ETSU baseball team is set to host Virginia Tech in a non-conference game at Cardinal Park on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. as the Bucs look to end a three-game skid.

The Buccaneers (22-12, 11-8 A-Sun) were swept for the first time on the year after falling to Belmont 9-8 in 11 innings on the Sunday. The three-game losing streak is the longest of the season for ETSU. The Bucs have also posted winning streaks of six and seven games.

Senior Derek Trent (Kingsport, Tenn.) leads the way offensively for ETSU hitting .354 with seven home runs and 37 RBI.

The Hokies (19-19, 4-14 ACC) lead the all-time series with ETSU 31-17. Virginia Tech comes into the series having won two of its last five contests including dropping two of three to #11 Florida State at home.

Andrew Rash leads the way for the Hokies hitting .333 with 13 home runs and 38 runs driven in on the year.

All current and former service men and women will receive $1 admission to the contest as it will be American Heroes Day at the ballpark.
