Baseball to open Thomas Stadium on Friday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 16, 2012) – The ETSU baseball team will open the 2012 season at brand new Thomas Stadium with a three-game series against Eastern Kentucky beginning on Friday. Game times have been altered to 1:05 p.m. starts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Fans will be asked to park in the ETSU student parking lot on the corner of State of Franklin Road and University Parkway. ETSU will provide a free shuttle service from the parking lot to the stadium prior to the game. In addition, limited handicap parking on Lee Street, which is on the stadium grounds, will be available.

Meanwhile, fans may bring lawn chairs to the game as limited seating will be available. All spectators will be seated along the third base side of the field and all fans must stay in the designated spectator area. No one will be permitted to enter the construction zone. Admission is free for each game over the weekend.
