ETSU announces 2013 WXSM baseball radio schedule

Over 20 games will be broadcast over ETSU’s flagship station

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 10, 2013) – The Buccaneer Sports Network announced its 2013 baseball broadcast schedule on the official flagship station of the Bucs – WXSM-640 The Extreme Sports Monster – and over 20 ETSU games will be carried live on the network.

Fans can tune in a half hour before each game as the "Voice of the Bucs" Jay Sandos will break down the contest for you on the Atmos Energy Dugout Show with head coach Tony Skole.

The WXSM broadcast schedule begins the weekend of March 22-24 when the Bucs host Florida Gulf Coast, marking the first of six conference series to air on the CBS Sports Radio affiliate. The other four A-Sun series to broadcast live on WXSM will be North Florida (March 28-30), Lipscomb (April 12-14), Stetson (April 19-21), Mercer (May 10-12), and Jacksonville (May 16-18).

The radio schedule also features non-conference games against Tennessee Tech (April 2), Tennessee (April 9), Appalachian State (April 30), and the Illinois-Chicago series (May 3-5).

In addition to the WXSM schedule, 17 other games will be broadcast live online through ETSUBucs.com, beginning this week with Rhode Island on Monday and Winthrop Tuesday night.

The other internet only broadcasts include: Winthrop (March 20), Radford (March 26), Northern Kentucky (April 5-7), The Citadel (April 17), Radford (April 23), Kennesaw State (April 26-28), Tennessee Tech (May 1), UIC (May 3-5), UNC Asheville (May 8). 

The WXSM radio schedule will also add conference tournament games and any NCAA postseason action.

Fans outside the Tri-Cities region can access WXSM online at http://www.640wxsm.com/ or you can listen to the games via your mobile device(s) by downloading the iHeart Radio application.
