JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 20, 2014) – The Buccaneer Sports Network announced its 2014 baseball broadcast schedule on the official flagship station of the Bucs – WXSM-AM 640 The Extreme Sports Monster – and over 20 ETSU games will be carried live on the network.
Fans can tune in a half-hour before each game as "Voice of the Bucs" Jay Sandos will break down the contest on the Atmos Energy Dugout Show with head coach Tony Skole. Following the game, fans can also listen to the The General Shale 10th Inning Show.
The broadcast schedule begins this weekend (March 22-23) when the Bucs host Stetson, marking the first of five conference series to air on the CBS Sports Radio affiliate. The other four A-Sun series to broadcast live on WXSM-AM 640 will be Northern Kentucky (March 28-30), North Florida (April 11-13), USC Upstate (May 2-4), and Mercer (May 15-17).
The radio schedule also features non-conference games against Western Carolina (March 25), Appalachian State (March 26 and May 13), Tennessee (April 1 and 22), The Citadel (April 9), Radford (April 23), and Furman (May 7).
The radio schedule will also add conference tournament games and any NCAA postseason action. The Atlantic Sun Championship is from May 21-25 at Florida Gulf Coast.
Along with the radio broadcasts, every remaining home baseball game will be video streamed once the ETSU men’s basketball season in completed. In addition, the baseball radio schedule is subject to change due to men’s hoops still participating in postseason play. Stay tuned to ETSUBucs.com for more details.
