Played in 20 games, making 14 starts (13 as designated hitter, one at catcher) for the Blue and Gold as a rookie … registered his first collegiate hit in his first at-bat versus Marist on March 3 … had three multi-hit games, while driving in a pair of runs against Lipscomb (April 13) … reached base three times against the Bisons – two walks and a single … also went 2-for-4 with a walk, double and two runs scored against Lipscomb on April 12.

Six-time letterwinner for head coach Paul Morse at Danville High School in Danville, Ky. … also lettered as a defensive end for the football program … led his baseball team to six district and three region championships … as a junior, Lasure hit .449 with six home runs and 41 RBIs at Danville, who went 27-9 and won the 45th District championship … he also walked 44 times — the second-highest single-season total in state history — and struck out only five times ... participated in both the Power Showcase International High School Home Run Derby and the Under Armour Preseason All-America Tournament last winter in Arizon … was also a Kentucky East/West All-Star Game participant and a Louisville Slugger High School All-American candidate … compiled a .427 average with 17 home runs, 72 doubles and four triples in his first three seasons at Danville.
