High School: Haynes was named a 2003 Collegiate Baseball First Team High School All-American ... Last season, he batted .483 with three home runs and 24 RBI last season as an outfielder for coach Roger Morris at Cumberland High School ... He also added eight doubles, two triples and 10 stolen bases while posting a .607 on base percentage and a .753 slugging percentage ... As a junior, Haynes batted .443 with four homers and a .546 on base percentage ... An excellent all-around athlete, Haynes earned 12 varsity letters in high school, playing baseball, basketball and football ... Haynes was an Associated Press honorable mention all-state wide receiver following his senior season of football for the Redskins ... Haynes is the second baseball player from Cumberland High School to attend ETSU in recent years ...
