Went 4-4 with a 5.72 ERA, ranking second on the team with 57 strikeouts and third 78.2 innings pitched ... Held left-handed hitters to just a .205 batting average last season ... Easrned his first win in a Buccaneer uniform on Feb. 26 against Xavier ... Picked up his second win against Samford on Mar. 9, allowing no earned runs on two hits and striking out two in 2.1 innings of relief ... Allowed four earned runs in five innings of work in a win over UNC Greensboro on Mar. 26 ... Pitched seven innings against UNC Asheville on May 3, scattering six hits and giving up just one run while striking out four ... Struck out a season-high seven batters against Davidson on May 13, giving up one earned run on five hits in six innings of work in the win ... Also struck out seven in his first ETSU start, a no-decision against Niagara on Feb. 19 ... High School: Lovett earned four letters in baseball and two in basketball at Knoxville Central High School ... was a two-time all-district, all-region and All-Knoxville Interscholastic League selection ... was all-state, region player of the year, District 3-AAA Player of the Year and KIL Player of the Year following his senior season ... as a junior, Brian hit .465 with 10 doubles and was 8-1 with a 2.64 ERA on the mound ... during his senior season, Lovett hit .520 with 18 doubles, 32 RBIs and 42 runs scored ... he was also 10-3 with a 2.07 ERA and 128 strikeouts.
