2011 Season: Started all 57 games for the Bucs last season in centerfield...Hit .303 with 10 home runs, 10 doubles, five triples and 39 RBIs, while also stealing eight bags...Went a perfect 3-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs in a victory over UNF (3/11)...Also had a stellar night just a day later as he hit two home runs, including the go-ahead home run in the ninth inning to defeat the Ospreys (3/12)...Was later named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week following the strong performance at UNF...Was named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week (5/2) for the second time as he finished 7-for-12 with two doubles, two home runs and five RBIs in a sweep against Manhattan.
 
2010 Season: Started all 60 games for the Bucs in centerfield ... was fifth of the team in average hitting .344 on the year ... drove in 61 runs on 23 doubles and 13 home runs ... led the team with four triples ... was 11-for-15 in stolen base attempts ... received Atlantic Sun All-Tournament team honors ... posted 24 multi-hit games and 17 multi-RBI games ... had a career-high five hits and seven RBI against North Florida (4/3) ... hit a season-high two home runs against Mercer (4/16).
 
2009 Season: Played in 35 games including 30 starts in centerfield ... hit .255 with 11 extra base hits and 17 RBI ... drove in three runs and scored three times against High Point (4/25) ... was third on the team with seven stolen bases ... totaled five multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games ... had two outfield assists on the season against Rider (2/27) and Tennessee (3/31).
 
High School: A four year letterwinner at Bearden High School, Scruggs hit .410 with 13 doubles, 13 home runs and 25 stolen bases his senior season ... was named First-Team All-State by the TSSAA, First-Team All-Prep Xtra, the District 4A Offensive Player of the Year and the team’s Offensive Player of the Year.
 
Personal: Born on April 16, 1990 ... majoring in sports management ... son of Michael and Joyce Scruggs.
