East Tennessee State Football Set For Annual Spring Game

Johnson City, Tenn. (Apr. 4, 2002) - East Tennessee State University's football team will hold its annual spring game this Saturday, April 6 at noon. This year the game will be held at the Stone Castle, Tennessee High School's football stadium in Bristol, Tenn. The game will mark the end of spring practice for the Buccaneers. There is no charge for admission to the game. Directions to the Stone Castle FROM JOHNSON CITY - Take Bristol Highway (US 11E) in North Johnson City to Bristol. Go to Bristol on 11E. 11E turns into Bluff City Highway. Keep going, 11E will split, you must stay left. It will turn into Volunteer Parkway. Go until you see Mr. Gatti's Pizza (on right). Just before you get to Mr. Gatti's, you will find the red light at the intersection of Volunteer Parkway and Weaver Pike. Turn right onto Weaver Pike and go to Southside Ave. (first red light- Stone Castle is right in front of you). Take a right on Southside Ave. Park in the big parking lot on right and walk toward the stadium. All spectators will enter on the Southside entrance (Tennessee High Player Gate). FROM I-81 - Take Exit 3 onto Commonwealth Ave. Commonwealth will turn into Volunteer Parkway when you cross the state line into Tennessee. Stay on Volunteer Parkway until you see Mr. Gatti's Pizza on the left. Just past Mr. Gatti's, you will find the red light at the intersection of Volunteer Parkway and Weaver Pike. Turn left onto Weaver Pike and go to Southside Ave. (first red light- Stone Castle is right in front of you). Take a right on Southside Ave. Park in the big parking lot on right and walk toward the stadium. All spectators will enter on the Southside entrance (Tennessee High Player Gate).
