(Sept. 8, 2003) - After a stellar performance against Concord in ETSU's home opener Thursday night, redshirt freshman quarterback Carl Meadows (Cummings, Ga.) was named Southern Conference Freshman of the Week. The 6-1, 190 pound signal-caller made the most of just his second collegiate start, completing 14-of-28 passes for 300 yards and four touchdowns. He leads the Southern Conference in passing yards per game and total offense and is second in passing efficiency. The Buccaneers return to the gridiron on Thursday night at 8 p.m. EST against UT-Martin from Hardy M. Graham Stadium in Martin, Tenn.
