JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 22, 2016) – Due to the threat of severe weather expected to hit the Tri-Cities Region this Thursday, ETSU football head coach Carl Torbush and Elizabethton High School have agreed to move the Buccaneers’ scrimmage to next Thursday (March 31).
The scrimmage, which is presented by Appalachian Orthopaedics, will begin at 6:30 p.m., at Citizens Bank Stadium.
The scrimmage is free and open to the general public.
“This scrimmage is for the fans, and with the threat of severe weather, we wanted to make the decision to reschedule it now rather than wait and cancel it all together,” said Coach Torbush. “We appreciate the help from everyone at Elizabethton High School as we were able to work with them and reschedule the scrimmage to next Thursday.”
Next Thursday marks the second scrimmage for the Bucs this spring, while spring practice concludes on Saturday, April 9 with the Mountain States Health Alliance Spring Game. Kickoff for the spring finale is set for 1 p.m., at Kermit Tipton Stadium.
