JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 12, 2016) – Members of the ETSU football team attended the Grand Opening of the new Coalition for Kids facility on Tuesday night.
A group of ETSU football coaches and players showed their support during the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Johnson City facility named “Kids City.” During the year, the Bucs help with Coalition for Kids as ETSU holds the annual Buccaneer Christmas event inside the MSHA Athletic Center as well as volunteering at other events.
ETSU football head coach Carl Torbush talked about the Grand Opening of the new facility.
“Yesterday was a great night and it’s exciting to see all the support for this new Coalition for Kids facility. This is an impressive all-purpose facility for the children,” said Coach Torbush. “It’s important for us to volunteer with Coalition for Kids and be role models for the children.”
The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics takes pride in its community service activities and strives for 100 percent participation from its student-athletes, coaches and administrators throughout the year.
