JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 24, 2016) – ETSU football season tickets have been printed, stuffed and dropped in the mail.
Season ticket holders can expect to have the 2016 ETSU football tickets arrive in their mailbox over the next week. If tickets have not arrived by Aug. 31, please contact the ETSU Ticket Office at (423) 439-3878.
The 2016 ETSU season ticket packet includes the following items:
The Bucs open the 2016 season at Kennesaw State on Sept. 3, while ETSU hosts Western Carolina in its SoCon opener on Sept. 17 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Season tickets for the five games at Kermit Tipton Stadium feature former Buccaneer and NFL players printed on them.
Donnie Abraham – who played defensive back for the Bucs from 1991-95 – is the player spotlight for the Chattanooga game on Oct. 1. Abraham played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1996-01 and the New York Jets from 2002-04. Abraham was a third round pick in the 1996 NFL Draft, while making the Pro Bowl in 2000.
Maurice Kelly – who is currently the Vice President of Player Development for the Seattle Seahawks – is featured on the Furman game on Oct. 15. Kelly played defensive back for ETSU from 1990-93 and played for Seattle from 2000-02. Kelly was also on the Seahawks’ staff in 2014 when Seattle defeated Denver in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Earl Ferrell – who was the Buccaneers’ running back from 1978-81 – is highlighted on the West Virginia Wesleyan ticket on Oct. 20. Ferrell was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth round of the 1982 NFL Draft. Ferrell played his entire NFL career with the Cardinals – including the final two seasons in Phoenix – where he led the team in rushing in 1988 and 1989. Ferrell made the Pro Bowl each of those seasons.
Thane Gash – who was drafted in the seventh round by the Cleveland Browns in 1988 – is the player spotlight for ETSU’s Homecoming game ticket against Cumberland on Nov. 12. Gash played defensive back for ETSU from 1984-87. Gash played four seasons for the Browns before joining the San Francisco 49ers in 1992 and 1993. For his career, Gash played in 64 games (35 starts), while totaling two sacks and four interceptions.
Gerald Sensabaugh is featured on the Samford ticket on Nov. 19. Sensabaugh played defensive back for the Bucs from 2001-03 and split time in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys from 2005-12. Sensabaugh was selected in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by Jacksonville and played four seasons for the Jaguars before finishing his career in Dallas. The Kingsport, Tenn. native, played in 112 career games, while finishing with 411 tackles, 14 interceptions, four forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and two sacks.
