JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 30, 2016) – The Buccaneer Sports Network announced Tuesday its plans for both radio, television and web streaming coverage for the upcoming football season.
The BSN will begin another season of broadcasting ETSU athletics tonight with the first edition of the ETSU Radio Coaches Show, which will air from 6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday night on WXSM-AM (640) The Extreme Sports Monster. In addition to the weekly radio show, the BSN will also provide ETSU fans with complete pregame, in-game and postgame coverage as the Bucs return to the gridiron for the 2016 season, which gets underway Saturday night, Sept. 3 at Kennesaw State. Games will air live on the Bucs’ flagship station WXSM-AM 640, as well as on affiliate station 104.9 FM NASH Icon.
Along with the traditional radio coverage, the BSN will also provide live video streaming coverage of ETSU’s six home football games through the Southern Conference Digital Network, which can be found on the web at socondigitalnetwork.com. The network’s radio broadcasts are also available through live streaming links at ETSUBucs.com.
As for the game day radio broadcasts, the BSN will launch its pregame broadcast one hour and 30 minutes prior to kickoff with the 30-minute long Eastman Credit Union Tailgate Show, followed by the Carl Torbush Pregame Show powered by Ford which will lead up to 30 minutes prior to kickoff. The First Tennessee Bank Countdown to Kickoff will then lead into the final moments before kickoff.
The broadcast team of “Voice of the Bucs” Jay Sandos, color analyst and former ETSU quarterback Matt Wilhjelm, sideline reporters Jessica Larkin and Don Helman, and studio host Parker Schwartz and Andy Jackson will provide ETSU fans all the information they need to complement their game-day activities.
Following each game, fans can tune into the General Shale Post Game Show to get a full wrap up of the game statistics, players and coach interviews, and other post-game information.

Please note, all six ETSU home games will be video streamed live on the SoCon Digital Network. The Bucs’ road games at Wofford and The Citadel will be streamed live on ESPN3, while the game at Mercer will be televised on FOX Sports Southeast. Saturday’s season opener at Kennesaw State will be televised live on Peachtree TV (locally in Georgia) and the Big South Network. The VMI game, on Oct. 8, will be streamed live on the SDN.
