JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 6, 2018) – As ETSU football approaches kickoff for the 2018 campaign, ETSUBucs.com will count down the days by featuring the program’s 21 seniors on the site and via social media throughout the summer months.
Today marks 87 days until the Buccaneers open the season against Mars Hill on Saturday, Sept. 1 at William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium. Senior tight end and No. 87 Dylan Dockery (Newport, Tenn.) is the third player to be featured in this special segment.
Dockery, who has been a part of the Bucs’ roster since the program was restarted, has totaled 18 receptions for 132 yards over his career. The Newport, Tenn. native has played in all 33 games, while making 23 starts. Dockery led all ETSU tight ends with six receptions for 69 yards in 2015, while his seven receptions this past season were the most by a Buccaneer tight end. Dockery’s 23-yard reception against Wofford this past October marked the longest catch of his collegiate career, while his first collegiate catch came in the 2015 opener against Kennesaw State. The 2016 SoCon Honor Roll member posted a career high four receptions in this year’s season finale at Chattanooga.
