JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 7, 2018)– As ETSU football approaches kickoff for the 2018 campaign, ETSUBucs.com will count down the days by featuring the program’s 21 seniors on the site and via social media throughout the summer months.
Today marks 86 days until the Buccaneers open the season against Mars Hill on Saturday, Sept. 1 at William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium. Senior wide receiver and No. 86 Kobe Kelley (Knoxville, Tenn.) is the fourth player to be featured in this special segment.
Kelley has played in all 33 games, making 13 starts in his first three seasons with the Blue and Gold. The Buccaneer wide receiver has totaled 42 receptions for 516 yards, while posting 21 receptions for 305 yards as a junior in 2017. Kelley has recorded at least one receptions in 17 of his last 22 games, which includes a career-best five receptions in wins over Robert Morris and Mercer last season. The three-time SoCon Honor Roll member finished with a career-best 93 receiving yards in the Homecoming win against Robert Morris, while he hauled in a two-point conversion catch against The Citadel.

Along with a six-game home schedule that features matchups with Mars Hill (Sept. 1), Furman (Sept. 22), Chattanooga (Sept. 29), Gardener-Webb (Oct. 6), Western Carolina (Oct. 27) and Samford (Nov. 17), the Bucs will also hit the road for the program’s first-ever trip to Neyland Stadium to take on Tennessee on Sept. 8.
