JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 5, 2018) – The East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Thursday details regarding its Buccaneer Salute season ticket program.
The concept, which begins this fall during the Buccaneer football season, will allow the public to show their support to veterans and active military by purchasing the Buccaneer Salute season ticket package for $100. ETSU will partner with organizations and distribute the tickets to local veterans and active military members to be used at each of the six home football games. To purchase a Buccaneer Salute ticket package, please contact the ETSU Ticket Office at (423) 439-3878.
“We are extremely excited to announce the details regarding the Buccaneer Salute ticket program,” said ETSU Associate Athletic Director for External Operations Dr. Matt McGahey. “We want to build upon our annual Heroes’ Day promotion, and we believe this is a great way to do that. It also allows fans to show their appreciation and support to our military members. We invite the region to participate in this program and provide opportunities for local military heroes to attend ETSU football games this season.”
ETSU’s annual Heroes’ Day promotion at football will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 when the Bucs host Samford. The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will be honoring all veterans and military, and first responders with a free ticket when they show their respective ID at the ticket window for that selected game.
The Buccaneer Salute ticket program will also be available during the basketball season, along with the annual Heroes’ Day promotion.
