JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 1, 2014) – Having played indoors at the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center for much of its history, a great deal has been made of the fact that the Buccaneers will play outdoors in the future. Well, Homecoming 2014 certainly welcomed the Bucs to the elements.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 30, 2014) – The ETSU football program announced Thursday that it will host a special “Football Family Alumni” reception following the team’s Blue-Gold Scrimmage on Saturday, Nov. 1 during Homecoming.

KINGSPORT (Oct. 23, 2014) – The ETSU football team was welcomed by beautiful weather and a large number of fans on Thursday night at Dobyns-Bennett High School, as the Buccaneers played their third of four scheduled Blue-Gold Scrimmages at the school’s J. Fred Johnson Stadium.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (Oct. 22, 2014) – The ETSU football team will be on the road again Thursday night as the Buccaneers will play their third of four public Blue-Gold scrimmage games, this time at J. Fred Johnson Stadium on the campus of Dobyns-Bennett High School.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 18, 2014) – The ETSU football team spent time off the gridiron this week and gave back to the community as the Buccaneers visited Grandview Elementary to help with their annual “Eagle Walk” on Wednesday, while also making the trip to the Appalachian Fairground to help set up for the “Color Me Rad” 5K on Friday.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 17, 2014) – The ETSU football team participated in a closed scrimmage Thursday night as the Buccaneers prepare to be on the road next Thursday night, Oct. 23, for a Blue-Gold scrimmage game at Dobyns-Bennett High School’s J. Fred Johnson Stadium.

Carl Torbush had no intention of ever coaching football again after 39 years on the job. He had retired on Douglas Lake in Eastern Tennessee and was content with life in his lake house.
