Brooks Gym
Brooks Gymnasium Facility (photo gallery)
Storied Brooks Gym, which sits in the heart of the East Tennessee State campus, serves as the home of the Buccaneer volleyball team. Volleyball is currently the only varsity sport to call Brooks Gym its official home, since the ETSU men’s and women’s basketball programs moved to Memorial Center full time.
The building was completed in 1950 and dedicated in 1980 to honor J. Madison Brooks, the long-time ETSU men’s basketball coach and director of athletics, who passed away in the summer of 1994.
Besides an existing full-length basketball court with four individual basketball goals, there is an upper and lower gym for student, faculty, and staff use.
