JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 11, 2004) - The East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics' is proud to offer a pair of rallies designed to allow fans of ETSU basketball a chance to show their appreciation for the 2003-04 men's team and share in the excitement of the Buccaneers' second-straight trip to the NCAA. First, fans are invited to a special "Selection Show Celebration" at the Centre at Millennium Park beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Come watch as the Bucs learn live on CBS who they will face in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Get autographs from the team, purchase Southern Conference Championship merchandise, be a part of a special two-hour radio broadcast of the Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network, and enjoy good food and drinks. The celebration will last from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Secondly, the Bucs will host a special "Big Dance Pep Rally" in celebration of the men's basketball team's automatic berth to the 2004 NCAA tournament. The rally is set for Monday, March 15 at the quad in front of Brooks Gym. It is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. and will last approximately a half hour. The Buccaneers, who were the 2004 Southern Conference North Division and Tournament Champions, will be in attendance as will the team's coaches, cheerleaders, and band. Food will be provided. In the occurrence of inclement weather, the rally will be moved indoors to Brooks Gym.
