MACON, Ga. (Feb. 26, 2007)- ETSU sophomore guard Courtney Pigram (Memphis) devastated the competition last weekend, claiming the year's final Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honor on the heels of a pair of emphatic wins.

Pigram matched the Atlantic Sun Conference record for assists with 18 in the Bucs' 112-89 victory over Mercer on Saturday night. The sophomore added 29 points, eight rebounds and four steals to put together one of the most dominating single-handed performances in the league this season. He added a mere 13 points in the Bucs' rout of Stetson on Thursday that clinched the outright regular season title and the top seed in the 2007 General Shale Brick Atlantic Sun Championship.

For the week, Pigram averaged 20.5 points and 12.5 assists per game while posting a gaudy 6.25:1 assist-to-turnover ratio in two wins. It is the third Player of the Week honor for Pigram who is majoring in Sports Management.

The Atlantic Sun Conference hands out Player of the Week awards weekly during the 2006-07 men's basketball campaign. The 12-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, UNF and Stetson with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate beginning competition in 2007-08.
