ETSU men earn bye to quarterfinals of CIT

Opponent still TBA, but Bucs will play at home Tuesday, March 22

JOHNSON CITY (March 15, 2011) - After enjoying a win in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament, the ETSU men's basketball team learned late Tuesday evening that they will receive a bye in the second round and will host a quarterfinal CIT game on Tuesday, March 22 inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center. Tip is set for 7 p.m.

The CIT format calls for seeding of all teams remaining after the first round. Due to the Bucs current RPI standing, strength of schedule, etc., the CIT committee has already elected to give ETSU one of the four highest seeds, which come with a bye into the quarterfinals.

More information regarding the Bucs opponent, ticket sales, etc., will be available either late Wednesday or early Thursday morning. Visit ETSUBucs.com for all the latest as ETSU continues its postseason run.
