MACON, Ga. (Feb. 28, 2012) – The Atlantic Sun Conference honored Adam Sollazzo of ETSU as the Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year to highlight the league’s Academic All-Conference team.

Sollazzo helped the Buccaneers to the four-seed in the Atlantic Sun Basketball Championship and a 16-13 overall record this season. The senior guard ranks third in the conference in scoring (15.0). Sollazzo was also named to the All-Conference Team. He has a 3.72 GPA and is majoring in marketing.

The A-Sun introduced the new sport-by-sport Academic All-Conference teams this fall to recognize student-athletes who embody the conference’s mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better and participated in at least half of their team’s games.
