JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 3, 2015) – The ETSU men’s basketball team held a special open practice inside Freedom Hall Saturday morning prior to the Buccaneers’ football game against Saint Francis.
Before first-year head coach Steve Forbes and the men’s team began the workout, ETSU women’s head coach Brittney Ezell introduced her team and thanked the fans for braving the inclement weather outside. Then, Forbes and the men’s basketball coaching staff took the team through a spirited 65-minute practice.
Following the workout, the team personally went into the stands and signed autographs.
“We want to thank each of you for being here today and supporting our program,” Forbes said. “We are working hard to be the kind of team that is ready for March Madness this year, and not March sadness. We want to make you proud. Go Bucs!”
Both the ETSU men’s and women’s teams will practice for the next month before opening its respective seasons at the start of November.
