Junior guard averaged over 20 points per game in two wins last week

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 4, 2016) – ETSU men’s basketball’s T.J. Cromer (Albany, Ga.) has been named the Southern Conference’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week by In two games last week, the junior guard averaged 20.5 points a contest to help the Bucs earn victories over Morehead State and Western Carolina.

In the victory over Morehead State Wednesday, Cromer scored a career-high 25 points and went 10-of-12 from the free throw line. The Albany, Ga. native also notched four rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals against the Eagles.

Cromer helped ETSU score an 82-66 win in its conference opener at Western Carolina Saturday with a team-high 16 points in 34 minutes of action. Cromer also hit on a trio of three-pointers, which was one shy of his career-high.

Cromer and the rest of the Buccaneers will look to keep their momentum rolling tonight when they travel to Durham, N.C. to take on North Carolina Central. Tip is scheduled for 8 p.m.
