JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 9, 2016) – The ETSU men’s basketball team will host its most highly anticipated home stand of the season later this week, with a trio of games that will match the Buccaneers against Southern Conference rivals.
Along with usual excitement that will accompany games against Samford (Feb. 11), Chattanooga (Feb. 13) and Western Carolina (Feb. 15), the second-place Buccaneers are also excited to have two of these three contests broadcast on television. The Chattanooga game will air on Fox Sports Southeast throughout the region, while being simulcast outside the region on ESPN3. On Monday night, the Western Carolina matchup will air on the American Sports Network (Direct TV 640 and other affiliates), as well as being simulcast on the ASN’s website.
In addition to the games themselves, the ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has also planned the following special promotions for each game. They include in order:
Thursday, Feb. 11 vs. Samford at 7 p.m. – Special “Cash” giveaways for students in attendance, while block seating will be available for ETSU Greek Alumni as part of Greek Night.
Saturday, Feb. 13 vs. Chattanooga at 4 p.m. – For this special “Gold Out” game against ETSU’s biggest rival, fans are asked to purchase their official “Gold Out” shirt either at the ETSU Bookstore or during Thursday night’s game, or simply wear Gold to the game. Fans are also encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance because of high demand.
Monday, Feb. 15 vs. Western Carolina at 7 p.m. – With tickets starting at $7.50, fans can enjoy the final game of the home stand as the Bucs take on the Catamounts during the American Sports Network broadcast.
Tickets for this weekend’s games can be purchased and printed on-line at ETSUBucs.com, and fans are also encouraged to call the athletic ticket office at 423-439-ETSU (3878) with questions.
ETSU fans looking for even more fun during the weekend are invited to attend the Buccaneer Bash Auction, which will be hosted inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center at 6 p.m. on Saturday, immediately following the Chattanooga game. An impressive list of both silent and live auction items will be available to fans, as all proceeds benefit ETSU student-athletes.
