JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 30, 2017) – The ETSU men’s and women’s basketball programs will host their annual preseason hoops celebration “Bluenanza” presented by Cates Music Center Thursday night, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. inside Freedom Hall.
The event, which is free to the public, will feature both programs in traditional 3-point shooting challenges, dunk exhibitions, and intra-squad workouts. Fans will also have the opportunity to hear from coaches Steve Forbes and Brittney Ezell about their expectations for the upcoming season, as this will be the first opportunity to see both teams together at the same time and on the same floor.
Special contests and cash prizes will also be held for fans.
“There is a great deal of excitement surrounding the upcoming basketball season,” said ETSU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scott Carter. “We are expecting a big crowd inside Freedom Hall on Thursday, Nov. 2, and hope our fans will enjoy this opportunity to interact with Coach Forbes, Coach Ezell and our student-athletes.”
The 2017-18 season is fast approaching, as the men’s program will play their season opener on Nov. 10 at Northern Kentucky, while the women will host Cincinnati that same night at Brooks Gym. Fans can purchase their season tickets for both programs by visiting ETSUBucs.com and clicking on the tickets link, or by calling the ETSU athletics ticket office at 423-439-ETSU (3878).
