About John: A player with a lot of upside … another in-state recruit from the Memphis area that possesses a great deal of athleticism … gives the Bucs some size in the middle. 2011-12: Played in 12 games as a freshman, averaging 1.3 rebounds a contest … scored his first field goal in the win over Stetson (2/23) ... came off the bench to provide valuable minutes in the win over Lipscomb (2/20), picking up career bests for rebounds (3), blocks (3), steals (4) and minutes played (21) ... scored his first career point and played a season high 11 minutes in the loss to Clemson (1/1) ... played a season high six minutes and grabbed three rebounds in the loss to Stetson (12/1) ... made his first appearance for the Bucs in the win over Appalachian State (11/15) ...
