BOONE, N.C. (Sept. 16, 2010) - For the second straight meet, the ETSU men's and women's cross country teams will race on the Don Kennedy Trails as the Buccaneers gear up for the Mountaineer Open Friday evening in Boone, N.C.

The women will kick off the competition at 5 p.m. by running a 5000m course, while the men follow at 5:45 p.m. with a 6400m race at the ASU State Farm Complex. The course, which is mostly flat, features some asphalt at a couple of short crossing areas. Also, there are two bridges with wood floors that runners go travel over twice.

ETSU competed on the same grounds in its season opener back on Sept. 3, where Caitlyn Epps (Cookeville, Tenn.) led the Lady Bucs and Ben Ronoh (Sotik, Kenya) paced the men's squad. Epps finished the 5000m course with a time of 19:14; while Ronoh placed 18th overall after clocking in at 20:16 (8K).
