JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.-- Senior Chris Wisler and sophomore Thomas Lee are in a five-way tie for 39th at 8-over par following the second round of the Duke Golf Classic from the Duke Golf Club in Durham, N.C.
The 13th ranked Buccaneers have shot a combined 616 (+40) through two rounds putting them in 14th place, 34 shots behind the leaders, the Virginia Tech Hokies.
Wisler shot an even-par 72 in the first round, but fired an 8-over par 80 in the second round of the day. Lee did exactly the opposite. He shot a 8-over par 80 in the first round, only to register a even-par 72 in his second round. The Buccaneer duo is tied with William Ted Brown of Virginia Commonwealth and North Carolina teammates Rob Simmons and Richard Treis.
Senior Pat Beste shot a 10-over par 154 over the first two rounds, placing him in a five-way tie for 51st. Sophomore Adam Riddering finds himself in a three-way tie for 72nd after firing a 8-over par 80 and a 6-over par 78 in his first two rounds. Freshman Anders Hofvander is in a three-way tie for 82nd after shooting a 18-over par 162 in his Sunday rounds.
The final round of the Duke Golf Classic will begin on Monday, October 15 at 8:00 a.m. from the Duke Golf Club.
