Currently, Davies is the No. 3-ranked player in the country having won four individual championships this season and posting a stroke average of 71. He has fired a remarkable nine sub-70 rounds so far in 2004-05. His 10-stroke advantage at the SoCon Championships was the greatest margin of victory in that event since 1983 when Furman's Brad Faxon won by 11 shots.
"Having the opportunity to play in the Palmer Cup last year was certainly one of the highlights of my summer," said Davies, whose four individual tournament titles this season broke the record of three set by ETSU's Garrett Willis in 1996. "I'm thrilled to get the chance to play in the event again. I can't say enough about that experience. "
