HUMBLE, Texas (March 19, 2006) - Tied for second place entering the final day at the GCAA Hall of Fame Invitational, the 14th-ranked ETSU men's golf team struggled to a third-round score of 308 and dropped to a fifth-place finish Sunday at the Redstone Tournament Course. Despite those final round issues, the Buccaneers still posted their fourth-straight Top 5 finish of the spring season and their sixth in eight events during the 2005-06 campaign.
While the team struggled, junior Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) finished with a strong effort, firing an even-par 72 to end the event tied for sixth place at 4-over 220. However, Davies - along with the rest of the field - was not able to contend with
